JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking candidates with strong technical expertise and effective problem-solving capabilities for the role of IT technician. The responsibilities of an IT technician encompass serving as a primary contact for all user-level IT inquiries, addressing user requirements promptly, and ensuring the efficient operation of all systems, along with other technical tasks.
IT technicians should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as they will engage with individuals across different departments and executive tiers. It is crucial for them to attentively listen to the technical needs of users, comprehend their issues, and adeptly implement solutions.
Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
Conducting daily backup operations.
Managing technical documentation.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
2+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in database programming and software installation.
